At ten years old, German born Parijat began music school to play
the guitar. He was told that his fingers were too small and that
he would be more suited for the mandolin. So, he played mandolin
until the age of fourteen when he bought his first guitar and began
taking serious classical guitar lessons. The technical nature and
complicated sophistication of his training began to frustrate him
because he felt the pressure to become a virtuoso made the music
lose its spontaneity...

means "color" in Sanskrit, is perhaps best explained
by the painter Cezanne: "Color is the place where the universe
meets our minds." The combination of Helfenrath's musical ideas
and de Jong's Indian classical background gave rise to endless
inspiration. Through their collaborations on several albums, as
well as performances at Mazzo and The Milky Way in Amsterdam, they
developed the concept of Inner Sound Design (I.S.D).
Bhakta was born in Holland in 1960 and raised in his grandparents'
home as a member of a tumultuous extended family. His childhood
resembled more of a gypsy circus than a proper Dutch upbringing,
and was an ideal setting for music, painting, experimentation and
communication. Following a successful career in the 90s as a producer
and mixing engineer in Europe, Bhakta moved deep into the rainforests
of Eastern Australia near Byron Bay, where his time is now devoted
to creating music for the dancing soul.
Waterbone is a musical
collaboration between two very different individuals. Jimmy Waldo
is a veteran of the rock and pop world,
with a long history of successful recording projects. D. Kendall
Jones is a classical composer from Louisiana, well known for his
extraordinary guitar playing, which combines classical structure
with a hard hitting rock style. Together they bring their diverse
backgrounds and talents to form what the critics are calling, " a
warmth and trippy originality to the normally sterile world of
predictable beats." - Rolling Stone.
